Dog Potty Real Grass

I have a 8 month old puppy, she is a house dog, she goes to the toilet most times on the newspaper in the bath

room or at least on the bathroom floor,( but wees a lot everywhere else in the house) i brought her a pet potty one of those things that look like real grass. she wont use it, we put her poo and wee on it to encourage it but she wont go near it, she now hardly ever goes in the bathroom to go to the toilet because thats where the pet potty is,,pls help, the house is getting so smelly now , we payed 200 hundred for the toilet we need help pls
