I have a big dog problem?

I have a big problem with our dog he's a Bichon frise. He refuses to potty train we bring him outside often he pees then he holds it to do other business in our area we keep him.GRRRR
Then we wakes my husband up every weekend early when he has health problems and need to sleep.I'm pregnent and I work for the Army so my husband lets me sleep.
Have any suggustions please and thanks

These dogs are high maintance and tend to be a little jealous too. I would suggest getting a professional to work with him before the baby gets here. because you guys don't have the time to train him right now and you definitely won't have it when the baby gets here. I raise boxers and let me tell ya training a dog is a 24/7 job.

Solving Common Dog Housebreaking Problems

Solving common dog housebreaking problems are a big source of frustration to a dog owner. If it seems like you have tried everything but nothing works and you seem to be at a loss as to what to do next. Here are five pointers to try before you give up on your dog.

1. Try to confine your dog to a crate or restrain him on a leash if you cannot observe him. Keep him in the crate for 2 hours intervals and a 30 minute potty break. Never let your dog roam around the house unmonitored.

2. When you go outside with your dog on potty runs, take him to the same potty area every time so he gets the hint. Dogs learn the fastest when there is a routine.

3. When your dog does relieve himself outside, let him run around the room where you are in. Do not ever give him the run of the whole house, just because he urinated outside. He should only be introduced to the rest of the rooms of the house slowly.

4. When you do catch your dog urinating in the house, gently interrupt him and take him outside. If he does go back to the site of the accident, tell him “shame on you.”

5. Please don’t give your dog water two hours before the last potty run, and at night do not allow him to drink any water. This helps because younger dogs have small bladders.
